Honest limits

What we don’t cover.

Worth knowing before you spend anything, because a vendor who claims to cover everything is telling you something about their data rather than about their market.

Depth

Why the industrial verticals are deeper than they look.

A forty-person machine shop has no funding round, no engineering blog and no press coverage — which is exactly why the mainstream platforms miss it. What it does have is a state business filing, trade licences, permits pulled at the county, an apprenticeship roster and a listing in a regional manufacturers’ association. Those records are public and almost nobody indexes them. That is where our counts come from, and it is why our coverage of a 60-person fabricator tends to beat platforms ten times our size.
